Duties:
Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines.

Be an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, acting as a voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment. The role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.), perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas. This role will liaise closely with core aeroacoustics team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.

Trainer / Change Co-ordinator Responsibilities:
The role has an overarching responsibility to ensure the delivery of process re-engineering change through process centric training content creation and delivery including the measurement and control of delegates learning and competency through tests and where appropriate ‘at elbow support’. Critical to the success of the training at scale within engineering will be successful change control management of training material in line with process development. End user / super user support during deployment will be critical after training to ensure full adoption by the business and managing the ‘currency’ of process and methods for all individuals, e.g. new changes need to be cascaded to those already trained to a previous level / version. The Opportunity
In this role, you will plan and coordinate Propulsion System test work across prototype vehicle builds and system test rigs.
Working closely with Vehicle Engineering, Prototype Build Operations, Test & Development and Commodity Engineering teams, you will use your knowledge of electrified propulsion technology to drive the correct development work and influence build schedules, ensuring customers can conduct their intended test activities with hardware and software that is fit for purpose.
As the primary point of contact for Propulsion system test activities, you will be responsible for identifying and driving resolution of emerging technical risks and issues which could prevent system or vehicle test work from completing on time or to quality, and communicating clearly with stakeholders to ensure you understand their requirements and our stakeholders have an accurate status and prognosis at all times.

The Role
You’ll deliver excellence by providing engineering support to all Power electronics testing on inverters and E-machines. You will be in direct technical engagement with the client, University academia and 3rd party engineering teams supporting your Lead Engineer in the understanding of test requirements in detail. As part of your role, you will ensure the effective preparation of Units Under Test, routine operation of test beds, programming of test cells & ensure proper installation and instrumentation of the unit under test. - Understand customer test requirements and execute the test cases with the requested test data
